Have access to a laser cutter and want to make your own acrylic template or cut this design directly out of leather? This product is an instant digital download of our source / "laser ready" version of the Messenger Bag No. 1. You will receive a .zip file download containing 4 different file types (.ai, .pdf, .svg, .eps). It will also include a version of the print formatted PDF if you choose to use it. Feel free to modify the designs as you see fit!
Please make sure to consult the documentation for your laser cutting software with regards to which files types it supports and how to import to 100% scale. I made these files as bare bones as possible for universal compatibility but issues may still arise.
Very Very Important: This template set includes pattern pieces that are large! Much larger than a standard desktop laser system (Glowforge, etc) and even larger than some industrial. If you plan on laser cutting this design please keep that in consideration. For example the largest panel is 19.75" x 17" and the gusset is 37" long.
This source file template set includes all stitching holes
INITIAL FILE SETUP:
- Document color model is set to RGB
- All cut lines (stroke) are set to .75pt width
- Stroke is set to RGB Blue
- There is no text included in this file. Please refer to the included Print PDF version of the design if you need help labeling each piece.
The Messenger Bag No. 1 design is a sleek and functional shoulder bag with optional interior divider. It features a large interior section to carry your laptop, tablet, notebooks, and more. It also features a large storage pocket on the interior divider as well as a smaller pocket on the front panel under the flap. This bag was designed with hand-stitching in mind as there is no extraneous detail stitching involved. The design has all stitching holes marked and can be used with an accompanied 5mm stitching chisel set.
